On May 17th, we will have a large family buffet at Ishavsmuseet with hot and cold dishes, including a large dessert buffet, from 13-17 pm.

We also have potato balls on Ascension Day, 13-18 p.m.

Every Thursday from January 22 to June 25, 2026, Ishavsmuseet serves potato balls in the café from 14-18 p.m. Potato balls with salted meat, salt pork, sausage, bacon, rabbe and potatoes from the buffet, including milk and coffee, for NOK 250.

Friday, March 20 at 7:00 PM is a new Polar Evening at the Ishavsmuseet, and this time we will be visited by Hermann Gran who will tell us about his father, Trygve Gran.
Trygve Gran once participated in Robert Falcon Scott's Antarctica Expedition 1910–13 in the race with Roald Amundsen to be the first to reach the South Pole.
