Book launch Sunday, November 7th

The book "Ice, Ships and People" - The Ice Floe 10 Years, will soon be ready from the printer. On Sunday, November 7th, there will be a book launch at the Ishavsmuseet with light entertainment and good food.

The book contains a selection of articles from the first 10 years of the Isflaket. The selected articles are not primarily about the ships, but about the people who were with them on seal hunting, expeditions and wintering.

The book spans a period of 100 years. It is richly illustrated with nearly 200 photos, and has over 300 pages. The editors of the book, Finn Sindre Eliassen, Magnus Sefland and Gunnar Wiik will be present and narrate. Book launch at 3:00 p.m. Ishavsmuseet will be open for dining from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Welcome!
