Saturday, September 3: Unveiling of the statue of Peter S. Brandal at 3:00 PM
Sunday, September 11: Open 12-17 p.m. Film screening "To the world's northernmost fishing grounds", fishing and research at Svalbard and Jan Mayen in 1935 and 1936. Sunday dinner with roast lamb and oven-baked vegetables.
Friday, September 16: Polar Evening with John Giæver at 7:00 PM with a film and lecture from an expedition to southeast Greenland in 2013. Dining in the café after the lecture, on the menu is Beef a'la Lindstrøm.
Sunday, September 18: Open 12-17 pm. Film screening "A journey to the Arctic Ocean", on a hunt in the Vesterisen 1976. Sunday dinner with Fallow Deer in the cafe.
Sunday, September 25: "Selk Meat Day!". Seal meat is a fantastic resource, and on this day, seal meat is served in many exciting, both familiar and unfamiliar, variations. Film screening: The NRK film about Polarstar's trip to Newfoundland in 1968 with Stein Ørnhøi. (90 minutes). The film is shown at 13 pm and 15 pm
Sunday, October 2: Open museum 12-17 pm. Sunday dinner with Meatballs. Film screening: "A trip to Svalbard in 1950" by Per Høst.
Sunday, October 9: Open museum from 12-17. Sunday dinner with sausage meat. Film screening: With Polarbjørn to Nordaust-Greenland in 1932. First aerial survey of Greenland.
Friday 14 October: Polar Night with polar historian Kjell Kjær. Lecture and book launch "Ishavsfarerne 1859-1909". Serving of clipfish with good accessories in the cafe after the lecture.
Sunday, October 16: Open museum 12-17. Sunday dinner with mutton cabbage and film screening: With the French Count Gaston Micard on a wintering in Loch Fine in Northeast Greenland with the Arctic ship "Quest" which he had chartered for a wintering expedition in 1937-38.
Sunday, October 23: Open museum 12-17 pm. Family buffet with cold and hot dishes. Tour in the exhibitions at 13 pm and 15 pm.
Sunday, October 30: "Seal, herring and soup." Everyday food in Brandal 100 years ago, today a festive meal at the finest restaurant. Seal and herring in various varieties, oat soup. Last regular opening day at the Ishavsmuseet in an extended 2016 season. Film from the herring fishery.
Friday, November 4: Lutafisk evening with the Friends of the Arctic Museum.
Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th November: Christmas fair with many exciting sales stands.
