The adventure

We are back in the late 90s, the well-off Oslo woman Ann-Magritt has read about treasure hunting in Svalbard in the 30s, she rents the Arctic ship "Fangstmann" and sets off. We get into different environments and colorful types. There is preparation in Tromsø and drama in Hornsund. In Longyearbyen we get the whole spectrum from big politics, via challenges on board to a proper trip to the House with all the ingredients. The novel weaves together Svalbard's landscape, stories from the country and the fictional trip in an enjoyable way. The reader is drawn further, from personal challenges, details such as starting and driving an outboard motor for the first time, to Johan's worldview, without it becoming stuffy. A Svalbard novel, which despite exciting discoveries, excitement and dramatic events, is full of knowledge, stories and warm humor. Which can easily be characterized as "feel good".
