Forty Years Alone in Svalbard by Birger Amundsen

Harald A. Soleim arrived in Svalbard one summer day in 1977. It was the middle of the night, he knew no one and everything was foreign to him. Over forty years later, Harald still lives as a trapper in the innermost part of Isfjorden, in a small cabin on Kapp Wijk. Harald lives most of the year in complete isolation. This is his story.
