The book tells the story of the lighthouse keeper and the lighthouse staff, and is an account of the people who worked, grew up and lived at 14 lighthouses in Western Norway, from Grip lighthouse in the north to Obrestad lighthouse in the south. For the past two years, Heidi Eikremsvik Lindaas, together with photographer Thomas Bickhardt, has traveled up and down this part of the coast to document the stories of lighthouse keepers, their families and the lighthouse staff who participated in the daily work.
