Come north with me
By Bernt Balchen

Oslo: Gyldendal, 1958

Bernt Balchen became the first to fly over the South Pole on November 29, 1929. He then also flew the first transpolar flight from Alaska to Norway in 1959, thus becoming the first to fly over both poles.

During World War II, Balchen served in the US Air Force and was stationed in Greenland and Northern Europe, where he led "drop operations" to Norway, among other things.

Great book.
