Peder Ristvedt's diaries. The Northwest Passage 1901-1906

It is once again a great pleasure for the Fram Museum to be able to present new and exciting original material from the Gjøa expedition. This time it is the turn of the diaries of the first engineer from Gjøa, Peder Ristvedt. In addition to being responsible for the engine on board during the Gjøa expedition, Ristvedt also served as a blacksmith and gunsmith, meteorologist, and was responsible for the dogs.
