| Additional information | Traveled in 1909 with Danish polar explorer Ejnar Mikkelsen to East Greenland to search for the diaries of Mylius Erichsen. Wrecked at Shannon, five of the crew rescued after wintering by the "7th of June", skipper Vebjørn Landmark, who came from wintering in East Greenland in 1910. Ejnar Mikkelsen and a companion were first rescued by the "Sea Flower", skipper Paul Lillenes in 1912. Skipper Vebjørn Landmark on the "7th of June" received the Danish State Medal of Merit for the rescue. This medal hangs today at the Ishavsmuseet. |
