| Additional information | Was on a seal hunt from 1918. In 1919, they delivered a catch from the North Ice of 210 harbor seals. In 1920, "Canada" made two trips to the White Sea. The first trip brought a catch of 1200 animals, and the second trip 1400 animals. In 1923, they brought in 1.600 animals from the White Sea. In 1925, "Canada" was hunting polar bears at Kvitøya. The ship sank in Lake Kvitesjøen in 1926, and the crew, after being stuck on the ice for 4 days, were picked up by the "Wild Flower" of Hammerfest. |
