Additional information

"Capria 1" was first engaged in seal hunting in the year of the accident, 1917. https://www.ishavsmuseet.no/fortellingar/paskemysteriet-i-vesterisen-1917/

After the ship arrived in Fosnavåg in 1923, it was mainly used for purchasing fish and for freight transport.

In February 1927, while sailing from Kristiansund to Lofoten, loaded with salt and empty barrels, the ship ran aground at Brønnøysund. They escaped without injury.

While sailing from Lofoten to Sunnmøre loaded with salted fish, they had engine problems on March 30, 1927. The Herøy boat "Republik" was willing to tow them to Sandnessjøen. There was some rolling across the Saltfjord, and suddenly "Capria 1" began to take on water, and the water rose rapidly. They changed course on the tow towards land, but the water rose so quickly that they finally had to cut the tug. "Capria 1" went down on the night of April 1, 1927.
