For 6-7 years, including 1934, she was an expedition vessel for English Greenland expeditions and expeditions to Baffin Island. She had a fjord named after her there: Home Bay. 1931-33 Wintering expedition to East Greenland. 1962 Photo safari with Norwegian-American Finn Rønne. Requisitioned by the Germans during World War II. Intended to be used for replacing signal buoys along the coast. Large parts of the row removed for that purpose. Work did not begin due to mechanical damage. Was in Svolvær at the capitulation/liberation. « |
