| Additional information | Rebuilt into an Arctic ship in 1916, by EM Hansen, Grov, Ibestad and renamed "Lance". First time on seal hunting in 1917, and then went on 22 seal hunting trips until it sank in 1932. Apart from the seal hunting trips, it was also widely used for herring fishing. In 1917 they delivered 210 seals. In 1918, there were two trips into the ice and they delivered 650 seals the first trip, and 115 seals the second trip. In 1920 there were also two trips and they caught 1000 seals on the first and 650 seals on the second. In 1924, there was a major shipwreck in Lake Kvitesjøen, and the "Lance" also suffered from the ice . The propeller was bent, but the crew managed to cut off one of the wings using a file blade on a bamboo stick. 1928 was another year of major shipwrecks in Kvitesjøen. The "Lance" was stranded for 36 days. In 1932, the fate of the "Lance" came. It had survived many years of heavy ice drift, but on April 3, 1932, the ship sank. It had 224 animals on board when it sank. The crew was picked up by the "Storis". "Lance" got stuck in the ice early in April. The ice was so strong that the entire ship cracked and broke. The crew worked hard and tried to free themselves using dynamite, but it didn't help much. After the ship broke, it took only 20 minutes for it to be freed. At that time, there were only three men on board, the others were trapped on the ice. There was only time to salvage the most necessary things. When the crew returned to the ship, it had sunk.
