| Additional information | As one of the first ships, they had oil firing installed in 1920. On the way home from the fishing field in 1920, they encountered a heavy storm, there was no way to back down, so they had to moor away. The sea hit the rampart on the starboard side and they lost the jib jib. At first they wanted to get to Iceland, but in the storm they did not dare to head for land. They therefore stayed away in the direction of Shetland. On Easter 3rd, a fishing boat swept away a davit and a fishing boat. Another sea broke the coat and filled the cabin. Thursday after Easter there was a hurricane and they lost the mainsail and the wooden hook, all the while the cabin was filled with sea. They survived the storm, and the skipper later suggested that it was the oil that had saved them. In total, they had pumped 15 tonnes of oil into the sea to calm the sea. From 1927 it was only used as a freighter and for fishing. On November 7, 1945, the ship sank at Lista Lighthouse, the crew of 3 went into the lifeboat and made it ashore. |
